Z-MECH TUTORIALS!
FREE SOURCE FILES
Are you a character animator? Do you want to be? You won't know until you try, and this is a great place to start! If you have 3d Studio Max, you can download the files you need to start creating your own animations for the Z-Mech character!
These files are completely free to download and share with anyone who is interested in learning character animation or the process of bringing new sequences into Unreal 4. I encourage game developers to buy the complete character asset from the Unreal Marketplace, since it includes the animation and character blueprints necessary to replace the Unreal template character with the Z-Mech character.
But the free source files are all you need to follow along with the video tutorials below!
Well, and a copy of 3ds Max 2012 or newer...
NOTE: Custom animations are no longer compatible with the Z-Mech character asset in Unreal Engine.
VIDEO TUTORIALS
The three videos below will walk you step-by-step through the entire process of creating new Z-Mech animations using 3ds Max and the files included in the Free Source Files download.
