My name is Tyler Gibbons. I am a prop modeler and environment artist primarily focusing on video games.
Born and raised in South Dakota, my obvious love for games and storytelling is rooted in the SNES era of gaming, even though I got into the game fairly late in the system's running. I believe that beautiful stories and real emotional experiences can be achieved by working smart within our limitations.
I graduated in 2010 with the valedictorian honor from my class at DigiPen Institute of Technology, and my internship at ArenaNet turned into a contract job working on Guild Wars 2. In 2012 I moved back to South Dakota and began working as a motion graphics and animation artist at Celebrate Community Church. In September 2014 I returned to Seattle to take classes on video game art and ZBrush to push myself farther. I'm currently developing my skillset to take on the challenge of entering back into the games industry.
I also do some motion graphics and freelance animation design, so feel free to contact me if you need a promotional video or a fun graphic background for a stage design or for a presentation.
